For the Record: More Media Malfeasance

For some reason, t'would appear that the mainstream US-American press had a bigger hard-on for bush II than it did for Al Gore. There's probably some interesting minutae about the preferences of the US-American power-elite in there, but it doesn't matter.

What's neat-o-keen is that all of them, especially the disgraced New York Times, continue to misrepresent the 2000 election in Florida.

“In 2001 painstaking postmortems of the Florida count, one by The New York Times and another by a consortium of newspapers, concluded that Mr. Bush would have come out slightly ahead, even if all the votes counted throughout the state had been retallied.”
–Alessandra Stanley, New York Times, May 23, 2008 in a review of the HBO television movie, Recount

That’s not true.

The New York Times did not do its own recount. It did participate in a consortium. Here’s what they actually said:

“If all the ballots had been reviewed under any of seven single standards, and combined with the results of an examination of overvotes, Mr. Gore would have won, by a very narrow margin.”
–Ford Fessenden and John M. Broder New York Times, November 12, 2001

Why they'd prefer one imperialist to another is beyond me, but the end result is that the stupid fuckers don't do their fucking job. (The professed job anyway. Obviously, they don't really exist to inform the citizenry, but to control them.)

The biggest problem with the stolen election is the fact that if Gore had won with his Neocon running mate Joe-mentum Lieberman he would have eventually received a Kennedy-esque bullet prize if he didn’t deliver the goods for his masters, clearing the way for America’s first ultra-Zionist president.

Imagine all of the fat party contributions and elaborate extortions AIPAC could have saved by having one of their own in the big chair!
The whole 9/11 psyop might not have been as necessary but would have gone ahead anyway because shredding the Constitution required a shadowy irrational forever enemy to create the state of Imperial forever war.
The Neocons would have won either way.
Americans should be rioting in the streets because their electoral system has been exposed as a ridiculous farce.

It's totally about a permanent state of war hysteria, ... which is thankfully dying down, ... and it's also true that the American people should have dragged bush II from the Whitehouse and punished him and anyone else associated with his installation with the penalty for treason.

The Dem's betrayal of their country in 2004 was the final nail in the coffin of that political system, but here it is, 2008, and they're still as deluded as Canadian Liberal Party supporters.
